DI Up-cycled

The other day I came across a jean vest in Gap, I wanted it so bad but it was way over priced!  So I wandered over to the DI one day thinking I could easily find one there, I didn't!  But I did find a really cute jean jacket that I would have no problem cutting up, so this is the result, jacket with removed arms, jean vest adorably up-cycled to perfection.

Jewelry Box

I was wandering around the Rexburg Idaho DI and spotted this beaten up little box in the corner, and to my surprise I opened it up and it turned out to be a jewelry box!  just what I was looking for!

So I took my treasure home and painted it, I used 1 base coat of white paint, 1 coat of teal paint from home depot, and a nifty stencil to complete the Victorian look.  I cleaned up the inside a little and Wvaa-Laa a brand new jewelry box.

Calender/Magnet Board

This is my most favorite creation yet! it took forever to create all of the months and calendars because they are exchangeable, college semesters are about four months, and i change it out to the new months when the new semester comes, its genius! :) i also love the colors because it really brightens up my room which is antiquey and gray...

Beachy Dresser

My mom manages properties, and sometimes if I'm lucky her tenants will leave their unwanted junk behind:) one special evening last summer someone had left an old beaten up dresser(to bad i don't have before pictures), and it was perfect, cobwebs stains and all. i couldn't wait to repaint it and make it look antiqued and beachy. so the picture above is what i came up with, and i thought i would share it with you cause i luv it so much.
