Mother's day

I love mothers day! Even though I am not a mother yet I love the chance to get to show my mom how much I love and appreciate her.  We had a nice home cooked meal and played in the garden with my niece and sister, all in all I would say it was a great day!

This is the most awesome balloon, I have been looking at pictures for ages of balloons all shapes and sizes but some of the most beautiful ones I have seen are from BonBonballoons.com and geranimoballoons.com, this is my first DIY try but I hope to improve and spread joy to others like these other lovely companies do.

Wedding Jars

I'm attempting to bring a little light into my wedding with candles, so I spent a day making little mason jar hanging lanterns.

Jewelry Box

I was wandering around the Rexburg Idaho DI and spotted this beaten up little box in the corner, and to my surprise I opened it up and it turned out to be a jewelry box!  just what I was looking for!

So I took my treasure home and painted it, I used 1 base coat of white paint, 1 coat of teal paint from home depot, and a nifty stencil to complete the Victorian look.  I cleaned up the inside a little and Wvaa-Laa a brand new jewelry box.

My Duvet!

for my quilt I couldn't find anything I was crazy about so I made one. I love the fabric, it has kind of a romantic shabby-chic feel and the best part about it is it's a duvet so it's warm in the winter and cool in the summer:)

99 Bottles of....on the wall....

I found my fish bottle at DI:Deseret Industries and was so excited because it even had the cork still in it, rare I know. My other two bottles are from The Sand Dollar in Florida, my favorite place to get decorations, jewelry, outfits, really anything!
I starting to collect bottles so I can put sand in them from every beach I go to, so far I have Anna Maria Island Florida beach sand, and Manhattan Beach California sand. Hopefully next it will be Hawaii Sand!!

Laundry Bag

Laundry Bag

In my dorm there really isn't any room for a laundry basket so I made something I could hang or stick anywhere, I even use it to bring things home for the weekend, it holds a ton and takes up no room on my floor:)
The laundry bag is made out of two pillow cases, one was cut into strips, then gathered and sewn on, and the other was kept as is except for two holes in the top so I could thread through the rope that acts as a draw string.
